The fraction is used to denote the number of parts represented out of the whole number of parts.

Solution
The conversion of the fraction to a decimal is the representation in which the whole number in the fraction is represented before the decimal and the fraction part is represented after the decimal.
The long division method is used to convert the fraction to decimal form.
There are also certain fractions that do not require actual division using the long division method.
The fractions with denominators that constitute of 1 followed by one or more zeros can be converted to decimal form by moving the decimal point in the numerator to the left as many digits as the zeros in the denominator.
Example:
The decimal form of the fraction $$\frac{\mathbf3}{\mathbf{10}}$$is 0.3.
The denominator of this fraction has the value 10 which is 1 followed by one zero, hence the decimal point in the numerator 3 is moved one digit to the left, which gives 0.3.
Similarly, the fraction $$\frac{\mathbf7}{\mathbf{10}}$$ is written as 0.7.
